Specifications include, but are not limited to: • The contractor will be responsible for demolition, removal, and proper disposal of structure and all contents of the building located in 461 N Front Street. The contractor will be responsible for all costs of transport and proper disposal of all demolition debris. The contractor shall submit a demolition plan, erosion control plan. Demolition Plan shall provide forsafe conduct of the Work and shall include: 1. Detailed description of methods and equipment to be used for each operation. 2. The Contractor’s planned sequence of operations. 3. Disconnecting schedule of utility services. 4. Procedures for removal and disposition of materials. • Certifications and Permits: The contractor will be responsible for obtaining all certifications and permits necessary for completion of the project from the appropriate regulatory agencies including OSHA, EPA, DEQ, and other. • Surveys and Testing: Any surveys and materials testing that may be necessary for the successful completion of the project shall be the responsibility of the contractor. • Utility Disconnects: The contractor will be responsible for coordinating and cost of all utility disconnects and abandoning utility lines at property line. • Reuse of Materials: No materials from the project are proposed for reuse by the City, with the exception of the PIX marquee which shall be preserved and stored at a City facility and shall become the property of the City. • Salvage of Materials: Unless referenced otherwise, the contractor shall take ownership of all scrap/salvage materials, with the exception of the PIX marquee which shall be preserved and stored at a City facility. Contractor shall salvage or recycle construction and demolition debris, if feasible and cost effective. • Extent of Underground Demolition: The contractor will be responsible for demolition of all slabs and all underground structures. The entire foundation should be removed and the opening filled with 3/4-0” minus graded crushed aggregate. Approved material shall be placed as backfill in all excavated areas and graded to the elevation necessary to provide positive surface drainage to all areas of the site. • Responsibility for Temporary Facilities: The contractor will be responsible for all temporary facilities necessary to successfully complete the project – to include, but not limited to, dumpster, portable restrooms, site fencing, site security, etc. • Special Requirements: Caution and care must be exercised to prevent damage to adjacent structures, sidewalks and streetscape and to ensure that existing businesses in the area can operate normally without significant disruption during demolition activities. All required street closures shall be approved at least 72 hours in advance through the City of Woodburn Public Works Department. Damage to existing structures and landscaping due to contractor’s negligence shall be repaired or replaced at the Contractor’s expense.. The restoration or replacement work shall be done to the satisfaction of the City of Woodburn or property owner as applicable.
