Specifications include, but are not limited to: GENERAL 0 2.01 The skids will be designed and constructed for placement directly into the utility beds of Polaris Ranger side by side Utility Task Vehicles (UTV). 10 2.02 The skids will be constructed of aluminum tread plate. 10 2.03 The desired skids are Kimtek Corporation MEDLITE® Transport (#MTS-102), or equal, and Kimtek Corporation FIRELITE® Delux skid unit (#FDH-203), or equal. 10 EMS SKID 2.04 One skid will be designed for transportation of one patient secured to a long spine board and or stokes basket and one EMS attendant. 10 2.05 The EMS skid will have an attendant seat that will resemble a vinyl bucket seat that will be provided with a seatbelt. 10 2.06 The EMS attendant seat will be mounted onto slide rails that will allow it to be locked into two different locations along side of the secured patient. 10 2.07 The attendant seat will be lower in elevation than the secured patient. 10 2.08 The secured patient deck will be located on top of a full length storage cabinet that will be accessible from the rear through a hinged compartment door. 10 2.09 The secured patient deck will be provided with two stainless steel grab bars that will extend nearly the entire length of the patient deck and positioned on each side to prevent a long board or stokes basket from laterally sliding off of the platform. 10 2.10 The stainless steel grab bars will be secured in a fashion that will allow them to be used to secure a long spine board or stokes basket to the skid. 10 2.11 The skid will be provided with the devices needed to secure the long spine board or stokes basket to the EMS skid. This may consist of ten 24 inch long Velcro “D” fastening straps or similar mechanisms. 10 2.12 The EMS skid will be provided with a retractable utility pole that may be used to support IV fluids or similar items. The pole will be located between the attendant seat and the secured patient deck. 10 FIRE & EMS SKIDS 2.13 The fire & EMS skid will include a water tank, fire pump, hose reel, storage compartment, hose storage area and a secured EMS patient deck. 10 2.14 The fire & EMS skid will be provided with a 70 gallon poly water tank. 10 2.15 The water tank will be provided with a sight gauge. 10 2.16 The skid will be provided with a five gallon tank for foam concentrate. 10 2.17 The skid will be provided with a 9 Hp. Honda powered Darly-Davey fire pump capable of delivering 120 gpm at 36 psi, 60 gpm at 118 psi and 20 gpm at 144 psi. 10 2.18 The fire pump will be provided with a Scotty around the pump foam system designed and intended for the delivery of class “A” foam solution. 10 2.19 The pump will be provided with one gated 1-1/2” discharge; one gated 1” discharge; one gated 1” tank refill; one gated 1” discharge to the booster reel; and one 1-1/2” gated tank to pump inlet. 10 2.20 The hose reel will be a Hannay F4000 series hose reel with manual crank provided with 100 feet of ¾”boosterlite, Reel-Lite, or equal, booster hose. 10 2.21 The hose reel will be provided with a 1” Viper nozzle. 10 2.22 All pump discharges and hose fittings will incorporate National Standard Thread (NST). 10 2.23 The skid will be provided with a Mercedes Draftline kit that will have the ability to draft up to 19 feet. 10 2.24 A secured patient deck will be located on top of an open storage area for the staging of fire hose that will be directly above a full length storage cabinet that will be accessible from the rear through a hinged compartment door. 10 2.25 The secured patient deck will be provided with two stainless steel grab bars that will 10
