Tulsa Public Schools current vision is to roll out the LMS in two key phases. The first phase (estimated winter 2018-19 rollout to users) will target a pilot group of schools with teachers as the primary user and will focus on developing, managing and distributing districtsupported and created curriculum. It will also serve as as a one-stop shop for teacher development and teacher practice around planning, teaching, and assessment and analysis of student performance. The second phase (estimated summer 2019 rollout to users) will incorporate design elements more specifically focused on other key stakeholders including students, school leaders, district leaders and staff and families. While this is the District’s current vision, TPS is also interested in vetting alternative approaches put forward by vendors that may be more appropriate based on the District’s overarching objectives for the LMS. Ultimately, we want the LMS to help the District deliver on the following objectives: Enhance teachers’ ability to collaboratively design, deliver and assess the learning experiences our students need to be ready for college and career Ensure students across all schools and grade levels are engaging with a consistently rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum students Make it easier for students to engage in their own learning in different ways Arm school and district leaders with the data they need to coach teachers more effectively Provide access to relevant, online professional development opportunities for all district employees
