Specifications include, but are not limited to:The intent of this specification is to obtain heavy duty flap gates and stop logs for the M1 and M2 raw water pumping stations along the Spavinaw flowline system. The equipment supplied by the Seller shall be new, unused, and of current manufacture. The equipment supplied shall meet or exceed these minimum specifications in all cases, and must be delivered fully assembled and operational or the Seller must provide the installation services. All gates required under this contract shall be the same type and furnished by the same manufacturer. Flap Gates: Item 1 Quantity: 1-84 inch Diameter Gate: Flap gate (circular) with cast iron (ASTM A126, Class B) flat back seat, cast iron (ASTM A126, Class B) cover, silicon bronze (ASTM B98, Alloy 651) seating faces, ductile iron (ASTM A536, Grade 80-55-06) pivot lugs, ductile iron (ASTM A536, Grade 80-55-06) links, bronze (ASTM B584, Alloy 932) bushings, and stainless steel (ASTM F593, Alloy Group 2, Type 316) fasteners. Mounting: Existing wall thimble. Item 2 Quantity: 1-72 inch Diameter Gate: Flap gate (circular) with cast iron (ASTM A126, Class B) flat back seat, cast iron (ASTM A126, Class B) cover, silicon bronze (ASTM B98, Alloy 651) seating faces, ductile iron (ASTM A536, Grade 80-55-06) pivot lugs, ductile iron (ASTM A536, Grade 80-55-06) links, bronze (ASTM B584, Alloy 932) bushings, and stainless steel (ASTM F593, Alloy Group 2, Type 316) fasteners. Item 4 Quantity: 1 lot to include: 6-94 inch wide x 12 inch tall (94 inches x 72 inches overall dimensions) 304 stainless steel (ASTM A 276) stop logs with rubber (Neoprene, ASTM D2000 grade 1BE625) seals 1-304 stainless steel lifting beam Mounting: Existing frame. Manufacturers, of Equal Acceptable manufactures are Hydrogate, or equal engineered approved equipment. Flap Gates Flap gates and accessories shall be of the size, material, and construction stated in these specifications. Seat The flap gate seat shall be flat back and shall be cast in one piece with a raised section around the perimeter of the waterway opening to mount the seating faces. The raised section shall provide a seating plane diverging top to bottom from the plane of the mounting flange to assist in positive closure of the cover. The seat shall be shaped to provide two bosses extended above the top of the waterway opening for mounting the pivot lugs. Pivot lug bosses shall be drilled and tapped for mounting studs. The back of the seat shall be machined to a plane and drilled to mate the anchor or stud layout. Cover The flap gate cover shall be cast in one piece with necessary reinforcing ribs, a lifting eye for manual operation, and with bosses to provide a pivot point connection with the links. Bosses shall be designed to place the hinge pins in double shear when the gate is assembled. Seating Face The seating faces shall have a full-width, dovetail slot machined around the perimeter of the cover and the seat. Corrosion-resistant dovetail seating faces shall be mounted in the slot and held securely without use of screws or other fasteners. The seating faces shall be machined to a plane with a minimum 63 micro-inch finish. Pivot Lugs Each pivot lug shall be cast in one piece. Pivot lugs shall have double bosses to place the top hinge pins in double shear when they are assembled through the link. The pivot lugs shall be adjustable in the horizontal plane without removal of the cover from the gate links. The adjustment shall allow the top pivot point to be moved toward the gate seat for reduced sensitivity of the cover, or moved away from the gate seat to provide opening with minimum differential head. Two corrosion-resistant studs shall be used to connect each pivot lug to the gate seat.
