The University of Oklahoma Board of Regents is requesting prequalification information from General Contractors interested in bidding on the interior and exterior renovation of Carpenter Hall. Carpenter Hall is a three-story, 21,202-square-foot facility that currently houses dance studios, voice studios, and administrative offices. The renovation will include comprehensive improvements to both interior and exterior building systems and finishes, including but not limited to: Interior Renovation: Installation of all new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, and fire alarm systems; restroom upgrades; limited wall framing; and new interior finishes throughout. Exterior Renovation: Masonry (brick and cast stone) tuck-pointing, application of cast stone coating, installation of new windows, minor site paving improvements, and the construction of a new elevator tower. All asbestos abatement activities will be managed and completed by the University of Oklahoma prior to the start of construction by the general contractor.
