Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Refresh our general purpose and enterprise compute and storage environment: Replace all of the equipment identified in the Appendices, including procurement, installation, and migration, according to the specifications in this document. 2. Provide compute and storage platforms that are flexible, scalable, agile: The platform must be able to support known and unknown future workloads with relative ease. It must scale to support small and large requests. The process of scaling must be simple, fast, and risk-free. 3. Performance that scales with capacity: The platform must scale in such a manner that scaling a single component does not introduce other bottlenecks. Adding compute and storage capacity should also add necessary performance capacity to support it. 4. Simplify and enable modern data protection/DR options for virtualized servers: The platform should provide efficient and robust replication capabilities, enabling improvements in replication time, recovery time, DR testing options, support for cloud computing, and simplified DR processes.
