Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.2 Collection Containers: Vendor will furnish all collection containers. Size will vary on locations. Sufficient containers will be located on the grounds at each building at locations to be mutually agreed upon with the Contractor where the waste may be conveniently picked up. Containers shall be emptied completely at each stop. Containers will be disinfected at a minimum of once every two (2) months (6 times per year). 3.3 Hauling Equipment: The successful bidder will be required to have a sufficient number of trucks of sixteen (16) cubic yard capacity, or more, in good condition for use in carrying out the terms of the contract. The garbage bodies shall be liquid and dust tight to prevent leakage or spillage on school grounds. Equipment shall be approved for use by the Health Department of the City of Dayton. All equipment shall be capable of lifting and dumping garbage from containers directly into the truck body. Trucks must be equipped with alarms that sound when trucks are in the backing mode. 3.4 Single Stream Recycling: The district expects to become more involved in recycling of waste as systems and procedure become available. The district reserves the right to revise pickup schedules accordingly. Recycle containers (6 yd minimum per site) will be provided and dumped with a frequency of no less than once per week.. All buildings require recycling containers.
