Specifications include, but are not limited to: Flow Monitoring of Public Sewers The following guidelines are to be used when performing the pre- and post-construction monitoring for the proposed project. In general, a flow monitor should be located at the downstream end of each street in the project area. Pre- and post- construction monitoring should occur in the same locations. A three-month duration is required for both pre- and post-construction flow monitoring, or until three storms that meet either of the following criteria are captured. Rain event meets or exceeds a depth of 0.2 inches AND an intensity of 0.25 inches/hour Rain event total is between 0.75 to 1.5 inches Data collected should include, but is not limited to, flow depth, velocity, and flow rate, and recorded in 5-minute intervals. The selected consultant will be required to install one tipping bucket rain gauge for the duration of the flow monitoring period. The location of the flow meters and rain gauge will be determined by the consultant and approved by the City.
