Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of the Rail Right of Way Turf Maintenance Program is to ensure a long-term site sustainability by developing a maintenance plan which outline project strategies and required implementation tasks. The goal of the Site Maintenance Plan is to: Ensure public safety for both employees and customers by maintaining clear site lines form the Station’s entrance to the platform. Protect the health of the employees and customers, as well as the environment, by minimizing the use of chemical pesticides, maintaining stormwater features, and management of maintenance equipment to minimize users’ exposure to noise, localized air pollution, and other disturbances. All materials and plants used should be purchased from local and regional suppliers that utilize sustainable practices. As needed: o Trash and debris removal. o Weed and remove any dead and or unsightly plant parts. Remove any invasive species. o Repair and erosion o Replace mulch where needed o Inspect for excess ponding during storms. Annually: o Test runoff and infiltration capacity o Inspect and clean spillways, outlets and drains o Check soil pH. o Evaluate for possible sediment removal April o Mulch mow all turf areas once per month. o Spring Clean up
