Specifications include, but are not limited to: The awarded supplier will maintain the comprehensive, dedicated on-site mail processing operation, both internal and external destined mail and general correspondence, small packages, etc. The Courier will be responsible to carry all interoffice materials such as mail bags, small parcels and supplies as required by the District. All goods and materials shall be handled with care to avoid any damages. Mail bags are not to be opened at any time by the courier drivers and materials are not to be transferred from one bag to another. The awarded supplier will pick-up and deliver to all locations specified in “Appendix 1 Cincinnati Public Schools Locations” requests for direct mail services outside of this agreement can be accepted and processed. Departments and Locations should work directly with Vendor to coordinate all special mailing requests. All fees will be approved prior to performance and the necessary purchase order will be obtained for payment purposes. These requests will be invoiced separately. Special deliveries may be required from time to time as determined by the District. Additional rates may be negotiated for special deliveries. A. Drivers/Courier Staff 1. Vendor shall provide staffing to provide uninterrupted, timely and reliable service and furnish drivers dedicated to the required services. 2. Vendor must ensure all courier staff entering CPS’ buildings wear a visible picture ID identifying them as the courier company employee. Couriers providing services at the Education Center, must wear a visible CPS picture identification badge. 3. Drivers must be bonded and insured. 4. Vendor must ensure that their courier staff has obtained and submitted current background checks and fingerprinting. 5. Vendor shall provide Dedicated Drivers to operate existing routes consisting of approximately 76 daily stops throughout the City of Cincinnati. CPS may increase or decrease routes at any existing service location or any new or closed service location at any time without penalty. All requests shall be in writing. 6. Vendor staff entering CPS buildings should dress in an appropriate manner. A company uniform with a visible company logo is preferred, but not mandatory.
