Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Cincinnati Investment Policy (see section G-1) authorizes the designation of security broker/dealers for the purpose of purchasing and selling, but not safekeeping or holding securities on behalf of the City. Only primary or regional broker/dealers that qualify under Securities and Exchange Commission Rule 15c3-1 shall be eligible to purchase and sell securities on behalf of the City. In addition, a list will be maintained of approved security broker/dealers selected by credit worthiness (e.g., a minimum capital requirement of $10,000,000 and at least five years of operation). These may include primary broker/dealers that qualify under Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Rule 15c3-1 (Uniform Net Capital Rule).
