Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Provide in-service training on Forensic topics in person or video conferenced to alternate locations at the discretion of OhioMHAS. (maximum of six per year) 2) Provide up to 80 hours of evaluation and/or consultation either in person or via webcam/video conference for patients hospitalized in RPHs. 3) Provide expert testimony to courts as ordered. 4) Develop a training module of basic forensic concepts for use during orientation of new hires at RPHs, including TPW, RN, SW to facilitate and improve care of forensic patients during hospital stays. a. Diagnosis and formulation of treatment plan for complex forensic patients; b. Diagnostic dilemmas; c. Complex risk assessment and risk management planning for high risk civil and/or forensic patients; d. Special consultation focused on resolving discharge barriers to allow continued movement progress towards discharge; e. Provide guidance on the use of best practices and evidence-based medicine principles adapted for forensic patients (psychiatry provider only); f. Conduct appropriate psychological testing using standardized evidence-based instruments, as needed, as part of the evaluation or consultation process (psychology provider only); g. Facilitate risk management planning both on inpatient unit and during transition to community for forensic patients h. Completion of Forensic Assessment and Court-ordered or Hospital-requested Court reports for select complex Competency to Stand Trial, Sanity or Risk Assessment forensic cases.
