ESP will be responsible for the design and construction of phosphorus removal structures on or adjacent to agricultural land in northwest Ohio at preselected sites. a. ESP will complete a full design with an engineering plan stamped by a P.E. registered in the State of Ohio for each site. USDA-ARS P-TRAP software should be used in site designs, where applicable. General structure design parameters include: i. The system shall be designed to reduce the 5 year load by 40%, when 100% of the flow volume is treated. ii. The system shall be designed for a minimum 10 year lifespan, with sorption media planned to last at least 5 years before requiring a recharge or replacement. iii. The system shall be designed to accommodate monitoring for flow volume and water quality at the inlet and outlet(s). b. ESP will be responsible for the construction and oversight activities on the PRS installation sites. Contracting for construction by ESP is allowed. ESP must inspect construction and develop as-built plans, signed and stamped by a P.E. registered in the State of Ohio.
