Specifications include, but are not limited to: OSAM is hiring of four regional epidemiologists (REPls) to assist in recruitment of informants; obtain participant informed consent; administer brief surveys of current knowledge and experience with opiate use disorder treatment along with measures of perceived stigma of opiate use and compassion fatigue of those professionals who provide treatment services; interview individual informants and conduct focus groups following scripted protocols; produce audio recordings of all interview proceedings; submit interview documentation monthly (participant consent forms, brief surveys and screens, interview collection forms and audio recordings); assist in writing executive summary reports of regionally collected data following OSAM specified reporting guidelines; attend core scientific meetings with other regional epidemiologists and OSAM team members (meetings held in Columbus); and attend other meetings and trainings as assigned. This position has varied hours, which may include evenings and weekends. Estimated 150 hours of project related work per each of the three 6-mos. data collection cycles. Each REPI is required to interview a minimum of 50 treatment clients per cycle (150 minimum contract total), a minimum of 20 community professionals who work in opiate treatment/prevention services per cycle (60 minimum contract total); and a minimum of 20 family members of persons with opiate use disorder per cycle (60 minimum contract total). This position requires travel; must utilize personal vehicle.
