• The existing equipment shall be removed and discarded from each of the three locations by the Contractor. This consists of hydraulic pumps and tanks; existing control panels and frames; demo and patch walls as needed for new hose installation. Dimensions vary per site. • The three locations receiving the new equipment shall be cleaned and prepped. This consists of 225 sq ft of cleaning and prep, each. Areas of work include cleaning and prep of materials consistent with concrete, masonry, and asphalt. Finished areas shall be free of old residue consisting of beet solution, calcium or magnesium chloride and other chemicals related to the operation. There are no hazardous materials that will need to be cleaned and/or disposed of. • Concrete pads shall be checked for structural integrity and soundness before the installation of the mixing hopper. Existing equipment pads are dimensioned 10ft x 8ft and are thirty (30) years of age. • The orientation of the new material mixing hopper must meet the design of the existing concrete pad. • Protective barriers must be installed to preserve ALL new equipment. Protective barriers shall consist of heavy-duty safety bollards; dimensioned to protect the finished dimension of new equipment. • The new system must operate within existing site conditions and capacities. Current minimum water supply: 1 ½; Pressure: 60 psi.
