Specifications include, but are not limited to: Kent State University, University Housing Department is seeking qualified suppliers to provide competitive price proposals for our access control hardware that we procure on a regular basis. The University Housing’s goal is to partner with a efficient and reliable supplier that can efficiently deliver these items at a consistent price with quality service. The estimated annual spend is between $60,000 -$70,000 per year for this hardware. University Housing has thousands of openings into buildings. The maintenance of these openings requires parts to replace or repair existing hardware. The scope of this proposal is to partner with the qualified supplier who can best provide the parts listed on the Exhibit A spreadsheet attachment. However, we reserve the right to purchase from other suppliers at the discretion of Kent State University if the preferred vendor is unable to accommodate an order within a reasonable time frame. The Housing Department is only looking for responses regarding the items listed in the requirements section and on Exhibit A spreadsheet. Interested suppliers are encouraged to provide best pricing for all items but partial bids will be accepted. Suppliers are encouraged to offer tier pricing. Please list any quantity price breaks where applicable. The university already has a contract to supply the Wi-Fi locks in our access control system; this proposal is not for that hardware but rather other hardware in our openings (strikes, hinges, closers, etc.).
