Specifications include, but are not limited to: STATE is soliciting for the provision of on-call crisis stabilization services to children engaged in the Partnership Program that are experiencing a crisis situation. Two Crisis workers and one licensed mental health professional are required to be available during hours of service. On-call crisis stabilization services may be accessed by STATE staff, law enforcement, emergency responders, emergency room personnel, jails, schools, psychiatric hospitals, family members, and childcare or social/recreational centers. The purpose of these crisis stabilization services is to assist in the safety and management of crisis situations without disrupting placement or accessing law enforcement or other high-end emergency services or hospitalization. Successful offeror agrees to provide crisis stabilization services, in accordance with established criteria approved by STATE, to children or adolescents enrolled in the Partnership Program. Services shall include, but are not limited to: Therapeutic crisis services, which are designed to maintain health and safety for everyone involved Development of a crisis/safety stabilization plan, which will focus on the goal of maintaining placement (i.e., preventing suspension and hospitalization) Connecting the child/adolescent to services Therapeutic services, which will support school staff/community staff and the youth’s families Communication of the event/plan within 24 hours to the Partnership Program to collaborate and establish a plan for care Crisis workers will notify the Licensed Mental Health Professional when a call is received. They will contact the Mental Health Professional as needed for consultation and direction as the service progresses and notify the Mental Health Professional at the conclusion of the service regarding the disposition. The majority of the direction will be accomplished through telephone communication; however, it may be necessary at times for the Mental Health Professional to provide face-to-face supervision of the crisis stabilization process.
