Specifications include, but are not limited to: Coordinate all activities under the lead and primary direction of the purchasing agencies. Coordinate all project activities with the purchasing agencies. Follow procedures and protocol established by WESTAT and CDC. Use PC sample software and collaborate with WESTAT and CDC in selecting statewide samples of students in grades seven and eight and nine through 12. (PC sample software will be provided by WESTAT). This involves updating the database as provided by WESTAT using the latest enrollment numbers as provided by the purchasing agency. Contact all administrators for grades seven and eight and nine through 12 to determine their interest in participation in the YRBS or YTS. Only the samples of classes as determined by PC sample will be submitted to WESTAT for analysis. However, the vendor is responsible to scan and analyze all surveys from participating schools in order to provide school level data. Middle schools (grades 7-8) and High schools (grades 9-12) must have a minimum of 10 students in order to be eligible for YRBS or YTS. Order scannable questionnaire response sheets from WESTAT. Camera ready questionnaires will be provided. Set up tracking system for monitoring return questionnaires and answer sheets. Assemble survey materials, including confidential envelopes, and mail to schools or survey administrators. Administer the YRBS and YTS according to prepared schedule. Implement tracking system procedures and follow-up with non-responding schools from selected sample. Non-responding volunteer schools will not receive follow-up.
