Specifications include, but are not limited to: STATUE RELOCATION: THIS SECTION INCLUDES GENERAL REQUIREMENTS TO LIFT, TRANSPORT, AND SET THE EXISTING STATUE 1. EXISTING STATUE IS CONSTRUCTED FROM DECORATIVE PLATE STEEL FORMED INTO A TUBULAR SHAPE. 2. AE2S ESTIMATES THE WEIGHT OF THE STATUE IS 30,000# BUT THE EXACT WEIGHT IS UNKNOWN. INTERNAL STIFFENERS OR DIAPHRAGMS WITHIN THE STEEL STATUE ARE UNKNOWN, AND EH CONTRACTOR SHALL ASSUME THE INSIDE DIAMETER OF EH STATUE IS UNSTIFFENED. 3. THE STATUE IS APPROXIMATELY 12’ TALL, AND ITS CENTER OF MASS IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 7’ (+/-1’) EAST AND 3’ (+/-1’) NORTH OF ITS WEST END, WITH REFERENCE TO THE ORDINAL DIRECTIONS OF THE STATUE IN ITS CURRENT LOCATION. 4. THE STATUE IS ANCHORED TO AN EXISTING CONCRETE FOUNDATION OF UNKNOWN DIMENSIONS, USING (7) CAST IN PLACE THREADED END ANCHOR RODS. THE AS-BUILT LOCATION OF THE ANCHOR RODS IS SHOWN BUT SHALL BE FIELD VERIFIED BY THE CONTRACTOR AFTER REMOVING THE STATUE. 5. THE BASE PLATE ANCHORAGE IS A FABRICATED STEEL COMPONENT WITH BOLT HOLES THROUGH ITS BASE AND IS APPROXIMATELY 2” TALL. 6. ALL LIFT DEVICES IN CONTACT WITH THE STATUE SHALL HAVE PADS OR BE SOFT SLINGS THAT SHALL NOT MAR OR DAMAGE ANY EXPOSED SURFACE OF THE STATUE. 7. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE STATUE IS LIFTED, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT AE2S TO FIELD VERIFY THE LOCATION OF THE EXISTING ANCHOR BOLTS a. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR’S OPTION TO USE SURFACE MOUNTED WELD PLATES AT EACH ANCHOR BOLT LOCATION AND FIELD-WELD THE EXISTING ANCHORAGE FABRICATION TO THE WELD PLATES IN LIEU OF USING CAST IN PLACE ANCHOR RODS. REFER TO PROJECT DETAILS FOR THE EMBED PLATE 8. CONTRACTOR SHALL SET THE STATUE ON DUNNAGE AND OTHER TRANSPORTATION BLOCKING TO PREVENT DAMAGE DURING TRANSPORT. 9. THE STATUE SHALL REMAIN ON CAMPUS AT UND AT ALL TIMES DURING TRANSPORT AND SHALL BE LOCKED AND SECURED IF LEFT UNATTENDED ON A TRANSPORT TRAILER AT ANY TIME. UND SHALL PROVIDE AN AREA TO STORE A TRANSPORT VEHICLE AS REQUESTED. 10. THE STATUE SHALL NOT BE SET UNTIL THE EXISTING ANCHOR ROD PLACEMENT IS FIELD VERIFIED AND COORDINATED WITH THE SETTING OF THE NEW ANCHORAGE AT THE NEW SITE, WHETHER ANCHOR RODS OR EMBED PLATES ARE USED. 11. THE STATUE SHALL BE SET AND INSTALLED ON THE NEW FOUNDATION WHEN THE CONCRETE REACHES 80% (4,000 PSI) OF ITS 5,000 PSI COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH AS VERIFIED BY FIELD TESTING. 12. STEEL SHIMS ARE PERMISSIBLE TO ESTABLISH A TRUE AND LEVEL PLACEMENT ON THE NEW FOUNDATION.
