Specifications include, but are not limited to: Building on its current work in North Dakota Department of Public Instruction’s Prevent, Teach, Reinforce (PTR) project, Mid-Dakota Education Cooperative (MDEC) will host three tiers of support for PTR. Tier 1 will provide a foundational training to ensure the basic level of training is available for participants. Tier 2 will enhance the currently trained educators in PTR through online and virtual trainings specific to each step of the PTR process. Tier 3 will host an advanced Tier 3 SEL PTR training for those districts who are practicing regularly and at advanced levels. Tier 1 – Foundational Training – February 11-12, 2019 (Bismarck). The Tier 1 Foundational Training will serve as a new learning for districts/Special Education unit teachers who were not exposed prior to the original trainings. It will double as a relearning activity for those who underutilized the training supports from the first cohorts. This will reset the stage for all attendees to begin engaging the PTR practice in schools. Tier 2 – Enhancing PTR to Increase Performance Booster Shots – April-May, 2019 (online). The Tier 2 Enhancing PTR Virtual Booster Shots will be conducted via online technology trainings (as developed through Principal Teacher Evaluation Support System) to review each step of the PTR process, present case studies, and receive performance feedback to improve the process. These are intended for any trained individuals to increase their knowledge of the process and engage in the work over the spring semester. Tier 3 – Advanced SEL PTR Training – June 10-12, 2019 (Fargo). The Tier 3 Advanced Social Emotional Learning (SEL) PTR training is additional, deep support for PTR participants who have been utilizing PTR and require direct feedback for enhanced performance for continued improvement. This request has been fielded three times in the last three months and the participants are ready for a deeper dive.
