Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractors and Their Duties Daily cleaning shall be done 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. The exact hours are to be determined by the Contractor. However, cleaning may begin in the Bismarck District Shop and Truck Barn after 3:30 p.m., in the Bismarck District Office after 5:00 p.m., and Electronic Services Traffic Counter Shop after 5:00 p.m. unless otherwise approved. It is permissible to do some work on weekends. No work will be required on legal holidays. The Contractor shall so establish his work pattern that the offices are clean and orderly to the NDDOT's satisfaction. The Contractor shall put all waste in plastic bags furnished by the NDDOT. The Contractor shall put the bags of waste in the dumpsters furnished. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary materials, tools, equipment and the transportation needed for performing these duties. The Contractor shall be responsible for liability resulting from his or her own negligence. No minors will be allowed in the buildings or on Department of Transportation property. The Contractor shall be considered an independent contractor and not an employee of the NDDOT for any p purposes, such as worker's compensation, medical insurance, etc. The contractor must be familiar with what chemicals or compounds to use and how to use them safely. All cleaning supplies must be used in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. The contractor must provide names of all key holders to the Bismarck District and the list must be maintained in a current status. Each person carrying keys must complete an Issue and Return of DOT Property Form, SFN 50332 which will be provided for you. The form will be kept in the Bismarck District Office. An e-mail or text number must be provided to allow timely and accurate communications.
