Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose and intent of the Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified firms to operate a 6-bed transitional living facility to provide short-term, structured housing in a supervised environment. This is a 24-hour service intended to enhance the residents’ stabilization and improve their ability to function independently. The Contractor will always assure staff presence at the County’s facility, except during structured activities with residents. Clients will be allowed to enter and exit the facility to attend to their routine activities and responsibilities. The service is appropriate for males receiving services from the Criminal Justice Resource Center that may be: • Returning to the community after a period of incarceration, • New to recovery, exhibiting high relapse potential, or currently living in an environment that does not support abstinence AND in need of a supervised living environment conducive to symptom/behavioral/medication stabilization and treatment engagement • Diagnosed with a mental illness and/or • Homeless
