Specifications include, but are not limited to: repair active leaks in the B12 and B13 hangar at Wilson Air and prep it for coating to extend the life of the roof and make it water tight. a. Remove all existing metal roof panel and end closure fasteners and replace with new oversized fasteners. b. Replace/re-secure all missing siding and coping cap fasteners with oversized fasteners as required. c. Provide new end closure flashing at the west side of Hangar 12 to match the flashing previously installed at the west side of Hangar 13. d. Thoroughly clean, remove or treat all previously applied sealants and coatings as recommended by elastomeric coating manufacturer. e. Treat all rusted metal roof panel areas and gutter straps as recommended by elastomeric coating manufacturer. If panels are severely corroded to the point they have holes, install a metal patch over the rusted area after treatment. f. Treat all areas of residue asphaltic roofing cements, if any, as recommended by elastomeric coating manufacturer. g. Provide a metal closure flashing to cover opening at the south end of the parapet termination. h. Repair all dented, and/or damaged metal roof panel ribs as recommended by elastomeric coating manufacturer. i. Accomplish adhesion test or prepare test patches for all questionable roof substrates to verify proper adhesion of elastomeric coating to substrates as recommended by elastomeric coating manufacturer.
