Specifications include, but are not limited to: Conduct required evaluations and assessments for students with Visual Impairments within the district including Functional Vision Assessments. Provide recommendations for TVI services and accommodations based on assessments, identified needs and student progress. Develop appropriate IEP’s for visually impaired students within schools contract employees serve in accordance with IDEA/NC/DPS guidelines. Carry out duties typically associated with school-based TVI’s including but not limited to; providing direct instruction required by the IEP, consultative services to students and staff, assisting in developing accommodative materials for classroom teachers when required, transcription of student work, etc.
