Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Technical specifications of requested detector system The following specifications are for p-Type "Inverted Coax" point-contact (ICPC) high-purity germanium (HPGe) detector system consisting of ICPC HPGe detectors, preamplifiers, and cryostats. The preamps and cryostats are only used for testing / characterizing each detector. 1.1. ICPC HPGe detectors 1.1.1. Material: UNC via the LEGEND Collaboration will provide Ge enriched to ≥ 86% 76Ge (“enriched Ge”) to the Subcontractor under the awarded Subcontract to manufacture p-type inverted coax point-contact detectors at best effort. The enriched germanium will be electronic grade with resistivity of at least 50 Ω·cm at 20◦ C. Any remaining enriched Ge material from this manufacturing process will be returned to UNC as defined in Sect. 2.3.2. 1.1.2. Detector type: p-Type ICPC design detectors, described by the original publication by R.J. Cooper et al., Nucl. Instr. Meth. A665 (2011) 25-32, or similar configuration. See Fig 1. We explicitly require p-type detectors.
