RFQ - Prof Arch/Eng -Jack Amyette Recreation Center Repairs - Professional Architectural/Engineering Services for Jack Amyette Recreation Cent

The Jack Amyette Recreation Center located at 394 Eastwood Drive features a gymnasium with basketball goals, a TV room, and a large lobby area. The building’s capacity is approximately 250 people. The facility was heavily damaged during Hurricane Florence. The one-story lobby area sustained many roof leaks likely damaging the ceiling components and insulation. The gymnasium sustained the majority of the damage to include a significantly compromised built-up type roof as well as, a water damaged gymnasium floor. It is also conceivable that electrical and HVAC systems incurred damage.
A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is being sought from each architectural or engineering firm that is qualified to and interested in assisting the City of Jacksonville in assessing the condition of the Jack Amyette Recreation Building and thereafter, rendering the design documents necessary to obtain construction bids for those portions and systems of the building that are deemed to require repair or replacement. The assessment, design and construction work may be funded in whole or in part with federal funds.
