Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this RFP and any resulting contract award is to solicit proposals for a data analytics product/platform and associated services that will allow the University of North Carolina General Administration (UNC-GA) to leverage existing data integrations and data warehouses used for statutory reporting and adhoc data/policy requests and expand into data visualization, data science/diagnostics, and predictive modeling. Furthermore, the selected platform and associated services would allow for all of the UNC constituent institutions to benefit from a baseline set of services and for any of the UNC constituent institutions to optionally leverage the platform for its own data analytics needs as well. UNC-GA currently has a data warehouse with deep integrations into the individual campus Enterprise Resource and Planning (ERP) systems, Banner and Peoplesoft. The data warehouse currently collects over 750 data elements, 13 times a year, with over 900 data validations from each constituent campus with real-time, direct integrations with Banner and Peoplesoft. These validated, standardized data feeds are consolidated into the datasets (materialized views in an Oracle database) used for statutory reporting and data analysis required for policy determination. UNC-GA seeks to expand on its existing robust data capacity by leveraging an analytics platform and associated services to quickly generate dashboards to allow non-technical users to effectively interact with the data as well as providing analysts the tools to quickly perform data science-based diagnostics and to create predictive models for student success, admissions, financial aid, and other operational areas.UNC-GA intends to award a single qualified vendor to provide the necessary platform and services to satisfy the requirements.
