Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Provide boarding services for up to four (4) horses of the Raleigh Police Department’s Mounted Unit. • Provide parking for personnel vehicles (PPV’s and personal) • Provide parking for three (3) police tow vehicles and three (3) attached horse trailers. • Require annual test for Coggins Disease to insure other non-police horses at the facility test negative for Coggins Disease. • Provide private pasture for police horses only. • Provide a schedule, seasonal (summer and winter) rotation for the horses. • Provide illuminated barn area for the horses. • Provide private stall for each police horse with lighting. • Provide cooling fans in the barn stall area. • Feed the horses two (2) times (morning and afternoon) a day.
