Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor’s patrol and fixed-post security guards will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities: A. Access control 1. Access control of person, vehicle and other property locations 2. Security guards at each location shall become familiar with GoTriangle’s business hours and service operations, including scheduled bus arrivals and departures. 3. Security guards are to ensure employees, riders, and park-and-ride commuters are parking in their designated areas. Park-and-ride commuters parking in the Regional Transit Center parking lot must be same-day bus users, or they are not allowed to use the lot. 4. Security guard shall check access doors and restrooms for loiterers and security violations. 5. Security guard shall inspect vehicles left unlocked and/or which have valuables in clear sight and leave a written message warning the driver of the high risk of theft. 6. Security guard shall issue written warnings to violators. 7. Security guard shall report unauthorized parked or abandoned vehicles to GoTriangle’s Park & Ride Coordinator. B. Site surveillance 1. Monitor the public and watch for potential disturbances. 2. Identify and report security and safety violations. 3. Maintain files for safety and security-related incidents. C. Emergent situations 1. Emergency situations (break-in, assaults, trespassing, vandalism, etc.). 2. Service interruptions 3. Fire/life safety incidents. 4. Locked doors or respond to incidents as directed by designated staff.
