Water Treatment Plant Sulfuric Acid System Improvements - Water Treatment Plant Sulfuric Acid System Improvements

Work to be performed includes all labor and materials necessary to replace the
two (2) existi g 5,400 gallon bulk sulfuric acid polyethylene tanks with one (1) new 4,600 gallon and one (1) 200 gallon Integrally Molded Flange Outlet (IMFO) Vertical Flat Bottom Tank constructed of crosslinked high-density polyethylene (XLHDPE) with OR-1000 inner surface liner at the City of Jacksonville Nanofiltration Water Treatment Plant (WTP). The tank will store 85-98% sulfuric acid. This work will include, but is not limited to temporary removal of lighting (as required) over the containment area, removal and demolition of existing storage tanks, installation of new tanks, temporary acid piping/supply system to the chemical feed pumps, furnish and install new supply piping and sulfuric acid transfer pump, cleaning and pressure washing of existing concrete containment area, concrete over pour within the existing containment area, coating of containment area, reinstallation of the existing lighting, installation of electrical and instrumentation for the proposed transfer pump, relocation and re-calibration of the existing and existing level transmitter, installation and calibration of new level transmitter, relocation of existing fire suppression supply piping, and all miscellaneous piping, supports, and accessory items to provide a complete operating system as depicted in these documents.
