Summary of Specifications:
The Village of Rye Brook requests pricing/proposals to vacuum clean 500 storm basins within the municipality. The contractor in his price shall also include limited pipe jetting as may be required in the field, additional charges for such will not be allowed. Disposal will be at the Village Compost Site
The contractor shall provide for the supplying of all labor, material, traffic control and equipment to vacuum and power wash 500 basins. The Village will provide a disposal site for debris, water availability is through on street hydrants and contractor is responsible for obtaining a hydrant meter from SUEZ(914) 632 – 6900, cost shall be included in bid. The Village will provide one man to supervise the work. This man will not be part of the crew or provide traffic control. His purpose is to monitor the work and inspect each basin. Disposal will be at the Villages Compost Site on Lincoln Avenue.
The contractor at time of submitting proposal must possess all necessary NYS, County and local permits, licenses, Solid Waste Permits, workmen’s compensation etc as required by law. A copy of such shall be submitted prior to starting work.
The Labor Department Schedule of Hourly Minimum rates of wages when omitted from these specifications are still included even if not received at the time of printing of these specifications. Copies of the labor rates shall be forwarded to the bidders as and when received. Such omission does not vary or affect the obligation of the contractor to comply with the law or his compensation thereof. The contractor and each and every subcontractor performing work on the site of the project to which this contract relates shall comply with the applicable provisions of the Labor Law, as amended, of the State of New York, and particularly Article 8 thereof. All provisions of Section 220 of the Labor Law shall be deemed a part of this contract.
