The Town Board of the Town of Newburgh, County of Orange, New York, hereby invites the submission of sealed bids for garbage and recyclable collection for Town buildings/properties for the balance of the calendar year January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020. In the event the bid is awarded after January 1, 2020 the commencement date will be as of the date specified at contract signing rather than January 1 and the bid price prorated, but the contract period will still end December 31, 2017.
Alternative bids will also be accepted for pick-up services extending over a two year period commencing January 1, 2020 and ending December 31, 2021 and a three year period commencing January 1, 2020 and ending December 31, 2022. (In the event the bid is awarded after January 1, 2020, the commencement date will be as of the date specified at contract signing rather than January 1, 2020 and the bid price for 2020 prorated, but the contract period will still end on December 31.) The Town Board shall have the right, at its election, to award the contract for one, two or three years.
Bids must be in writing on the forms furnished and are subject to the conditions contained in the Instruction to Bidders.

All bids are to be submitted on bid forms obtainable at the Town Clerk's Office, 1496 Route 300, Newburgh, New York 12550 and shall be contained in sealed envelopes marked “Refuse and Garbage Collection Bids”.
Sealed bids will be received by the undersigned on behalf of the Town Board up until 2:00 p.m., January 16, 2020 at the Town Clerk's Office, 1496 Route 300, Newburgh, New York 12550 when the same will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity in a bid as the interests of the Town may require.
