Specifications include, but are not limited to: Tree and Stump Removal. 1. At the request of the County Highway Superintendent, the Contractor shall take down, and cut up into easily manageable pieces, trees having a trunk diameter greater than ten (10) inches when measured five (5) feet above ground level. 2. The Contractor shall cut up or chip all limbs having a diameter at their base of less than four (4) inches. 3. The Contractor shall coordinate and schedule his activities with the County Highway Department to ensure the County has trucks available to haul away wood, wood chips and brush. 4. No stump will be left at a height greater than eighteen inches without prior approval of the County Highway Superintendent. 5. The Contractor shall provide proper and necessary warning devices to protect the public at all times. 6. When parts of a tree are to be removed, the Contractor shall cut only those branches designated or those that pose an imminent threat to persons and/or property. No trees or parts of trees shall be cut down or trimmed on private property without prior written authorization of the County Highway Superintendent.
