Specifications include, but are not limited to: Products: 16% - 17% SOLIDS BY MANUFACTURER LABEL 1. Custom labels and products that are produced, for this bid, and not commercially available, may not be considered acceptable in this specification. 2. Stable, non-flammable, self-polishing and satisfactory for applications to linoleum, asphalt, tile, rubber tile, vinyl tile, terrazzo tile, and painted wood floors. 3. It shall contain a minimum to maximum of 16%- 17% non-volatile solids by weight as determined by ASTM Standard Method for Testing (D-2834-95). Olefin wax content shall not exceed 12% of non-volatile solids and be compatible with acrylic products of similar composition. 4. It shall be a free flowing, liquid emulsion that dries within 30 minutes to a smooth uniform film without streaking, yellowing, powdering or separating when applied to mop or application 5. A maximum of three (3) coats of floor finish must be applied to achieve a glossy finish (not including sealer) after drying and may be buffed using standard cord electric buffers/burnishers at 1500 RPM or less. When buffed, slip resistance shall not diminish and must meet all requirements 6. The pH shall not be greater than 9.5 7. It shall possess excellent adhesion properties and excellent abrasion, water and detergent resistance. 8. Product must be capable of being stripped by use of low alkaline, water based, and conventional stripping compounds. 9. A detailed product specification shall be required to be submitted with bid. Product ratio of polymer to resin to wax should be noted. Samples may be requested for testing. 10. Specifications sheet or sample label must contain proof that this product meets Underwriters Laboratory or CSMA requirements for slip resistance. The static coefficient of friction must be a minimum of 0.50 and less than 1.0 with respect to slip resistance per ASTM method D-2047-93. 11. Product should come in new plastic, metal or environmentally friendly “Bag-In-A-Box” 5- gallon cubes or 5 gallon cans. Equal product in smaller jugs or alternate volume packout is acceptable if no cost per usable gallon difference is incurred. 12. Must be shipped palletized for easy distribution.
