RFP No. 02-2018 - Snow Removal Services

The Village is seeking snow removal services in various areas of the Village.  Under Section 197-15 of the Village Code - Snow and Ice on Sidewalks, property owners are required to keep their adjoining sidewalk free from snow and ice for the full paved width of such sidewalk.  Property owners have 18 hours after the cessation of a storm in which to clear their sidewalks.  Having failed to do so within the 18 hour period the Village may cause such snow and ice to be removed.  The Village is seeking a contractor for this work.
 
Snow removal services will be on an as-needed basis which will be determined at the end of each snow fall.  Submitters must be able to demonstrate proficiency in snow removal, the necessary equipment and manpower to complete the work, responsiveness to requests and the flexibility to respond to large or small storms and any amount of square feet of sidewalks to be cleared.  The scope will range from a minimum of 200 square feet per snow or ice event for one section of sidewalk up to approximately 5,000 square feet.
