The work required under this Contract consists of furnishing all supervision, labor and personnel, material, equipment and ancillary support necessary to complete the work described within these specifications.
In general, this work includes, but is not limited to, replacing approximately 1,600 LF of 8” Class 54 DIP water main, 4 gate valves (8”), 3 gate valves (6”), 3 hydrants and 17 water service lines.
It is not intended that this description be all inclusive of each and every item required, but rather serve as information illustrating the general scope and nature of work for the convenience of the Bidders.
The quantities shown are for estimating purposes only and may be increased or decreased as directed by the Director of Technical Services. All materials and work shall conform to the Standard Specifications, Construction and Materials, NYS Department of Transportation dated May 1, 2008 or as amended to date with the Exception: THE USE OF RECYCLED MATERIALS SHALL BE PROHIBITED AS PART OF THIS CONTRACT.
