Periodically, the County of Ontario has need of outside on-demand electrical, HVAC and/or plumbing services for a variety of small projects. These projects do not fall within the bidding limits as set by New York State General Municipal Law 103. This bid is intended to set up new contracts for each of these trades to replace the current contracts that expire in November of 2018.
Any contract (s) awarded as a result of this bid may be utilized for projects where the total project cost does not exceed $15,000. Larger projects will be bid or quoted separately, unless use of this bid is authorized by the Director of Purchasing. The contracts may be used by Ontario County and Finger Lakes Community College for work that needs to be completed throughout the year.
Typically, these small projects are varied in nature and tend to be of a short timeframe. In an effort to comply with the Ontario County Purchasing Procedures Manual, NYS General Municipal Law 104b and meet the needs of the County departments, the County will contract with one or more companies to complete the aforementioned projects on an as needed basis.
Ontario County is located in upstate NY, southeast of Rochester. The work will primarily be in the 14424 zip code where most County buildings and the main campus of Finger Lakes Community College are located. Some work may be in other parts of the County.
