SCOPE:
Ontario County is seeking sealed bids for the provision and installation of finish materials on casework produced by the County.  Finish materials consist of stainless steel cladding on the casework exterior vertical surfaces as well as solid surface material on the horizontal work surfaces of the casework. It is anticipated that the award may be to a separate vendor for each phase of the work, however, if the lowest responsible/responsive is the same bidder, then the award will be made to one bidder. The attached drawings detail the construction of the casework, and the installation of the finish materials.  AutoCAD versions of these drawings are available.
 
It is understood that all materials listed are meant as a standard of acceptable quality and durability.
 
SPECIFICATIONS
 
These specifications as well as those on the attached drawings represent the entire set of requirements for this project. The vendor is responsible for a complete and proper installation of all materials adhering to all industry and generally acceptable standards in completing this work.
 
NOTES:
 

• Prevailing wage rate requirements will only apply for work done by vendors on County property;
• Work performed on County property will require proof of insurance in accordance with Schedule B attached;
• Any vendor’s employee entering the Jail must pass the County’s background check;
• Entrance to the work area in the Jail will require a tool inventory when entering and leaving the facility;
• Passage to and from the work location in the Jail requires an escort to be scheduled at the convenience of the Jail.
• All metal cladding work should be performed at that vendor’s location;
• Upon completion of each individual Guard Station Desk base the County will coordinate delivery of each desk base to the metal fabricator’s work location for installation of the metal cladding;
• The County will inspect the completed metal clad unit and determine if it is ready for pickup.  If repairs are required all repairs must be completed within two (2) working days;
• The solid surface material installation is expected to occur after the casework has received its metal cladding and is installed in its final location at the Jail;
• It is the responsibility of the solid surface material installer to verify all dimensions in advance of the actual material installation which is to be accomplished in the Jail.
