RFP-DCP-118-19 - Installation and Operation of a School Bus Photo Violation Monitoring System

The County of Dutchess, New York is currently soliciting innovative and competitive proposals for the purpose of selecting a qualified vendor to install and operate school bus photo violation monitoring systems on school buses operated for School Districts within Dutchess County.  Dutchess County is in the process of adopting a local law that will enable the County to enter into an MOU with any school district within the County to facilitate participation in a demonstration program that will impose monetary liability on owners of vehicles for failure of the operators thereof to comply with section 1174 of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law when meeting a school bus marked and equipped as provided in subdivisions 20 and 21-c of section 375 of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law in Dutchess County.  For additional information on the proposed local law please see Attachment A.
