The County of Dutchess is seeking a fully approved and licensed hazardous waste management contractor to receive, package, manifest, load, transport, and properly dispose of household hazardous waste. Dutchess County is planning three (3) County-wide Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events, tentatively scheduled for May, July, and September 2019 at the Dutchess County Department of Public Works, or other County facility, in Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 between 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. or until the last participant is served, whichever comes first. The purpose of these events is to provide Dutchess County residents with an economical, convenient and environmentally sound disposal option for their unwanted or outdated hazardous household products.
