RFQ 2019-9855 - Closed Loop Cleaning & Refill of Propylene Glycol at EJ Murray Skating Center

The City of Yonkers – Parks & Recreation Department – seeks a contractor to perform a closed loop cleaning and refill of 25% inhibited propylene glycol at our EJ Murray Skating Center located at 358 Tuckahoe Road, Yonkers, NY 107010. The contractor is to provide all necessary labor and materials to perform this work.
 
Contractor is to perform cleaning of the loop, drain/flush the system until water runs clear and conductivity is under 250, add new glycol into the system and test until 25% glycol is achieved in the system. There have two (2) loops; the main loop is for ice making which just needs an inhibitor to protect the metal and the second sub floor loop is the one that needs to be drained. Your quotation shall be based upon the contaminated glycol being drained and disposed of prior to commencing your services – draining will be done by our head engineer.
 
25% Inhibited Propylene Glycol required.
Estimated volume is 1,200 gallons.

Site Visit: A site visit/walk through has been schedule for Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM EST at EJ Murray Skating Center located at 358 Tuckahoe Road, Yonkers, NY 10710.

Quotes are due back on the attached quotation form by Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM EST and are to be sent to Daniel Candeias via email at daniel.candeias@yonkersny.gov.

Information regarding requested start time and completion of work.

The Parks department has advised that the request work is to be completed by no later than June 30, 2019.

Prospective contractors are also to be made aware that the earliest start time would be the 1st week of June 2019.

Per the quotation form, the awarded contractor will have to provide the necessary insurance documents prior to commencing which would be officially requested upon award.
