The City of New Rochelle (City) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional engineering services for the Wilmot Road ADA Improvements (the Project). The City is seeking proposals from experienced engineering consultants to undertake roadway improvements emphasizing compliance with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) and integration of state-of-the-art pedestrian safety measures as dictated by the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). The Project generally entails the design of ADA compliant pedestrian facilities along both sides of Wilmot Road from the intersection of Baraud Rd to the intersection of the Golden Horseshoe Shopping Center. These Improvements are aimed at enhancing access to the business district, local community facilities, and public transportation. These designs will serve for the development of bid documents for the construction of the proposed improvements. The selected firm will collaborate closely with City staff and stakeholders to deliver high-quality design and construction support services.
