The purpose of this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is to identify, select, and implement a solution that will support Upstate’s daily ride and transportation booking needs across all care settings. The solution should improve patient flow and operational efficiency, ultimately reducing metrics such as inpatient length of stay (LOS), Emergency Department (ED) left without being seen (LWBS), ED LOS, and ambulatory care appointment cancellations and noshow rates. The NEMT software solution should provide robust reporting and analytics features to support data-driven decision-making and to enhance engagement with transportation providers at all levels, ensuring better service for patients and families. The NEMT software should standardize the transportation processes and have the ability to support multiple modes of transport, including taxi, ride share, medical sedan, wheelchair/stretcher van, and Basic Life Support (BLS). The NEMT software should align with Upstate’s broader strategic initiatives to reduce transportation-related barriers, streamline care coordination, and enhance access to care for patients across Upstate’s 19-county service region
