Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Section requires design, furnishing and installation of a Video Surveillance System (VSS) at the North Hempstead Transfer Station and Administration Building which includes the functions of monitoring, control and as specified herein, as indicated on the Contract Drawings and as directed by the Project Administrator. a. The system shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following: cameras (up to sixteen (16) cameras), lenses, housings, mounts, monitors, digital video recording system, video management system, network switch/PoE network switch, Ethernet extender, power supplies, all brackets, conduits, fittings, cables, connectors, wires, and all required equipment for a complete and operating system. b. Survey equipment locations. Install equipment to determine VSS coverage for the areas specified in the Contract; furnish unobstructed, clear pictures of these areas at the monitoring locations for Video Recording. Furnish and install video recordings capable of being played back to produce the original, identifiable images which were recorded. c. Fasteners used to install certain equipment, as specified by the manufacture Installation Requirements, fasteners shall be tamper resistant. d. Furnish a camera housing and suitable mount for each camera being furnished and installed under this Contract. The type of housing and mount for each camera shall be as specified herein and as directed. e. Use mounting types other than those specified herein when required by field conditions. Survey camera locations and submit mounting methods suited to field conditions. f. Furnish and install video transmitters and receivers as required to view the remote cameras from the Weight Station Control Building for monitoring and recording, as indicated on the Contract Drawings. g. In General, cables installed inside a cabinet or console shall be flexible type. Category cables shall be type 6.
