The Office for the Aging (OFA) is implementing a new Ramp Loan and Wraparound Services Program using targeted home and community-based services funding. This funding allows for certain services which maintain or promote the independence of older adults who meet eligibility criteria. These services include, but are not limited to, removal of physical barriers (such as providing ramps, grab bars, etc.) and wraparound services such as purchasing/renting, maintaining and repair of appliances. At times, this service may also require dismantling of ramps and storing equipment (i.e. ramp parts, grab bars, appliances, etc.) for future eligible clients. NOTE: These services are provided only when no other funding source/program is available.
Equipment (i.e. ramp parts, grab bars, appliances, etc.) will be ordered by, paid for, and the property of County of Genesee, a municipal corporation of the State of New York, by and through its duly constituted Office for the Aging.
