Description

It is the intent of the City of Rochester to establish a unit price term service contract for WATER SYSTEM PAVEMENT RESTORATION - SPOT PAVEMENT REHABILITATION & RECONSTRUCTION IS ASSOCIATION WITH WATER WORK. The contractor will be utilized to undertake jobs on an as-needed basis to support the Rochester Water Bureau. This is a contingent contract only – there is no guarantee that the contractor will actually receive work under this contract, although past practice for in other contracts has been that the contractor has received up to $125,000 of work per year.

            1.2.      The work to be done under this contract consists of the restoration of surfaces above water mains after the modifications of water system appurtenances (typically main breaks). Work tasks may include repair or installation of new pavement, curbing, sidewalks, topsoil, valves, meters, tees, bends sleeves and water services.

            1.3.    The contractor shall supply all labor, equipment and incidental materials to perform work. Contractor shall supply all backfill, classified fill, sand, stone, concrete, asphalt, and topsoil necessary for restoration.

            1.4       NOTICE – this contract incorporates new MWBE and Workforce goal requirements, as required by Ordinance No. 2018-54.

This contract has a 30% MWBE Goal, consisting of 20% M and 10% W.

This contract has workforce goals of 20% M and 6.9% W.

Details about these goals, and the contract requirements for meeting these goals, are provided herein and in Appendix E.
