Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. For Roadway Design; preliminary plan and profile sheets with horizontal and vertical alignment and all required construction notes, survey, LiDar operations, crosssections, typical roadway, and structure sections; materials investigation, pavement design, geotechnical investigations, drainage recommendations, drainage systems, drafting assistance, traffic control plans, right of way requirements with costs, utility relocation and/or adjustment requirements, earthwork analysis, construction cost estimate and constructability. b. For Bridge Design, the Engineer shall have: qualified personnel in Bridge/Structural design, analysis and report preparation; extensive knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) standard specifications for highway bridges; Bridge/Structural personnel should have the ability to prepare reports and develop plans for completing bridge/structural work on various assigned transportation projects. The Engineer must be able to determine how the NMDOT construction and maintenance activities and Bridge/Structural Design requirements for NMDOT projects can be met.
