Specifications include, but are not limited to: Review search and screening procedures developed by the University and the University Search Committees (“Search Committee”). Consultant may make suggestions for modifications or additions of the screening procedures. May advise in the process to develop qualifications including reviewing information collected by the Search committee in constituent interviews. Consultant shall become familiar with the College of Population Health’s strategic plans and challenges in order to advise the Chair and the Search Committee on the important qualities, qualifications and strengths the Dean must possess. Propose an advertisement and recruitment process and coordinate placement of advertisements after approval by the Search Committee. Engage in a thorough search process, utilizing consultant’s network of contacts, to identify potential candidates who would have not otherwise applied and to recruit a diverse application pool of well-qualified candidates. Employ special efforts directed towards the identification of under-represented candidates. Provide a list of names to the committee to consider for additional proactive recruitment efforts. These candidates will supplement others who may apply or be otherwise referred to the Search Committee. Advise the Search Committee about the steps to further develop the pool of candidates. Conduct thorough assessment of candidate qualifications.
