Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Contractor shall perform periodic sample collection, analysis and reporting of water quality parameters as specified and/or required by the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT), New Mexico Environment Department and Drinking Water Bureau. Services under this contract shall be administered and coordinated in conjunction with the NMDOT rest area manager or authorized NMDOT representative. 2. The awarded contractor will ensure that a certified water operator, Level 2 or higher will act as the operator of record for the three rest area sites once a month. This deliverable will require at a minimum of one and a half days of operator time to visit 3 sites. 3. The certified operator will be required to provide proper notification to the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) and Drinking Water Bureau (DWB). The awarded contractor will be responsible for notifying NMED and DWB of any changes in staff or certified operator. 4. The certified operator will be required to visit the rest areas quarterly. A certified water sampler technician will perform monthly sampling for months which the operator does not visit the sites. 5. Contractor will be required to collect the required bacteriological samples (one per site in distribution system at routine sample locations identified in the Sampling Plan for each site), and deliver to laboratory for analysis. Proper chain of custody documentation will be required as part of the deliverables.
