Summary of Specifications:
The City of Las Cruces is a home-rule municipality located in south-central New Mexico. In the past several years, the city has grown substantially, and currently has a population of about 90,000 citizens. The city employs approximately 1,400 full-time employees. The Human Resources (HR) Department coordinates and makes recommendations for all aspects of recruiting and hiring of new employees. City administration will greatly benefit from a comprehensive independent assessment of the HR services and procedures to help determine how they can best align HR operations with organizational goals, ensure that HR programs are maximizing people processes and are compliant with employment regulations (federal and state), and ensure that operating departments are being fully serviced by HR in order to effectively and efficiently deliver their services to the public.
